Migrate from Quandoo to Resos

Quandoo shuts down December 2026. Move to a commission-free platform with a free tier, no setup fee, and a transition that takes under an hour to set up.

Why restaurants migrate from Quandoo to Resos

No more commissions

Quandoo charged EUR 1-4 per cover on top of subscription fees. Resos charges zero commission on any plan. Every additional cover is 100% revenue to your restaurant.

Free tier to test

Quandoo required a paid plan plus setup fee from day one. Resos offers a free tier with 25 bookings per month — enough to test the platform with zero financial risk during migration.

Under an hour to set up

No onboarding calls, no sales process. Create your account, configure your floor plan, embed the widget on your website. Most restaurants are live the same day.

Month-to-month, no contract

Quandoo typically required annual commitments. Resos is month-to-month with no contract. Cancel anytime if it doesn't work for you.

Step-by-step migration plan

1

Sign up for Resos (15 minutes)

Create your account at resos.com. Start with the free tier — no credit card required. Configure your floor plan, hours, and booking rules.

2

Request your Quandoo data export (1 day)

Contact Quandoo support and request a CSV export of your guest list and reservation history. Quandoo's support team will help with this process. Do it early — support will get overwhelmed closer to the deadline.

3

Install the Resos booking widget on your website (30 minutes)

Replace your Quandoo booking widget with Resos. Most restaurants do this in their WordPress, Squarespace, or website builder admin. Takes 15-30 minutes.

4

Update Google Business Profile and social media (30 minutes)

Update your Google Business Profile booking link to point to Resos. Update Instagram bio, Facebook page, and any other places you link to your booking system.

5

Run both systems in parallel (4-8 weeks)

Existing Quandoo reservations continue to be honored. All new reservations flow to Resos. Monitor the transition — most of your direct Google traffic will shift to Resos within days.

6

Import guest data into Resos (1 hour)

Once you have your Quandoo CSV export, import it into Resos to preserve your guest history, preferences, and VIP status. Resos support can help with this.

7

Before September 30, 2026

Stop accepting new Quandoo bookings. By this point, all your traffic should be flowing through Resos. Complete final data export and documentation. The platform fully shuts down December 31, 2026.

Quandoo migration FAQ

How long does it take to migrate from Quandoo to Resos?

Most restaurants complete migration in 2-4 weeks. Setting up Resos takes under an hour. The rest of the timeline is running both systems in parallel, transferring guest data, and updating your booking links across Google Business Profile, your website, and social media. Starting now gives you ~5 months of buffer before Quandoo's September 30, 2026 deadline.

Will I lose my existing Quandoo reservations?

No. Existing Quandoo reservations remain valid until Quandoo shuts down. The standard approach is to run Quandoo and Resos in parallel during migration — let existing Quandoo bookings age out naturally while directing all new reservations to Resos. By October 1, 2026, all reservations will be flowing through Resos.

Can I export my guest data from Quandoo?

Yes. Quandoo has committed to keeping its support team available specifically to help restaurants export data before the shutdown. Contact Quandoo support to request a CSV export of your guest list. Do this early — requesting in August or September could create a bottleneck as thousands of restaurants migrate simultaneously.

How much will I save by switching from Quandoo to Resos?

Most restaurants save EUR 3,000-15,000+ per year. If you were paying Quandoo's ~EUR 29/month base plus commission on covers, switching to Resos (free tier to $149/month) eliminates all commission fees. At 300 covers/month, typical annual savings are around EUR 9,000. At 600 covers/month, savings exceed EUR 17,000.

What happens if I wait until September to migrate?

You risk a compressed, higher-pressure switch. Every Quandoo restaurant will be migrating simultaneously in August-September, which means slower Quandoo support responses, potential data export delays, and rushed decisions. Starting your migration now gives you time to test, compare options, and transition smoothly.
